The 2026 U.S. News & World Report “Best Colleges” rankings report published today, with 鶹ý repeating in several impressive spots among the 211 liberal arts schools nationwide involved in the survey, and improving in rank positions from the previous year.
- #84 – Liberal Arts Colleges (up 6 spots) and #92 Best Value for National Liberal Arts College
- #22 – Undergraduate research-creative projects (up 9 spots from previous year)

- #28 – Most Innovative Schools
- College presidents, provosts and admissions deans were asked to nominate up to 15 colleges or universities in their U.S. News “Best Colleges” ranking category, that they believe are making the most innovative improvements in terms of curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology or facilities. This ranking was based on that peer-assessment survey that recognized several Hope initiatives such as its “Hope Forward” program, the “Anchored Tuition Pledge,” a prison-education program and more.
- #36 – Undergraduate Teaching Programs (a new U.S. News category)
- #82 – Undergraduate Engineering Programs (up 12 spots)
- #150 – Top Performer in Social Mobility (up 14 spots)
- A college ranked with strong social mobility is one that enrolls a significant number of students from disadvantaged backgrounds who then graduate into steady-paying jobs.
The 2026 Best Colleges edition collectively evaluates more than 1,700 U.S. colleges and universities – across four categories: National Liberal Arts Colleges, National Universities, Regional Universities and Regional Colleges.
