鶹ý Theatre to Present “Sense and Sensibility”
The 鶹ý Department of Theatre will present Kate Hamill’s “Sense and Sensibility” on Friday-Saturday, April 4-5, and Thursday-Saturday, April 10-12, at 7:30 p.m., along with a free 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, April 6. All performances will be in the DeWitt Center main theatre.

Lecture to Discuss “The History of the Presidential Pardon Power”
Dr. Jeffrey Crouch, who is author of the book “The Presidential Pardon Power,” will present “The History of the Presidential Pardon Power” on Thursday, March 27, at 4:30 p.m. at 鶹ý in Schaap Auditorium of the Jim and Martie Bultman Student Center.
Concert Band to Present “Songs of Rust, Rest, and Renewal” on March 28
The 鶹ý Concert Band will perform on Friday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.
鶹ý Screening the Documentary Film “T-Rex” on March 26
The documentary film “T-Rex,” which is about Claressa "T-Rex" Shields from Flint, who at age 17 became the first woman in history to win the gold medal in the 2012 Olympic boxing, will be shown at 鶹ý on Wednesday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m. in the Knickerbocker Theatre.
Hope to Screen Film Emphasizing Importance of Math Literacy for Democracy and Economic Opportunity
The documentary film “Counted Out,” which emphasizes math literacy’s importance for democracy and economic opportunity, will be screened twice at 鶹ý on Tuesday, March 25, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland.
Lark, Roman, Meyer Trio to Perform on March 27
Three incredible musicians, including seven-time Grammy winner bassist Edgar Meyer, will combine for an evening of classical and contemporary music through the Great Performance Series at 鶹ý on Thursday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.
Three Hope Student Teams Place in Final Round of ACG Cup Competition; One Team Finishes as Runner-Up
Competing against a record-breaking 37 teams, all three of 鶹ý’s student teams who competed in the recent ACG Cup Competition, held on Saturday, Feb. 22, advanced to the final round. Team BCG from 鶹ý finished runner-up.
The Exodus 90 program was introduced on the 鶹ý campus in 2018 through the Saint Benedict Institute, a ministry of St. Francis de Sales Parish that serves Catholic students at Hope and encourages all Christians to live out their faith.

Hope Honors Staff for Service Anniversaries Spanning Five to 30 Years
鶹ý staff members were honored for service anniversaries during a reception on Tuesday, March 11, at the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.
鶹ý will host a special pre-release screening of “Holland,” a new movie starring Nicole Kidman and Gael Garcia Bernal that was partially shot in West Michigan.

鶹ý Orchestra Chosen to Perform in Carnegie Hall in April
The 鶹ý Orchestra is one of only three ensembles, and one of only two from the United States, chosen to perform in the culminating Evening Showcase Concert in Carnegie Hall during the 19th annual New York International Music Festival running Saturday–Wednesday, April 5-9.

Knickerbocker Theatre Presents Spring Film Series on March 3–April 12
The 鶹ý Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland will continue its tradition of showing contemporary and independent films with a film series featuring four films each for a one-week run from March 3 through April 12, including two films nominated for the 2025 Academy Awards.
“Dance Marathon” Fundraiser to Run March 7–8
For a 26th consecutive year, hundreds of 鶹ý students are putting their time and talents into the campus-wide Dance Marathon fundraiser.
Biography Highlights Hendrik P. Scholte, Founder of Pella, Iowa
The new biography “Vision, Conflict, and Controversy: H.P. Scholte, Founder of Pella, Iowa,” published by the Van Raalte Press of 鶹ý, illuminates the life and impact of one of the most prominent leaders of the Dutch immigrants who settled in the Midwest in the 19th century.
Saint Benedict Institute to Host Lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Theology
The Saint Benedict Institute will host Dr. Jordan Joseph Wales, who is a member of the philosophy and religion faculty at Hillsdale College, for a lecture titled “What We Are and What We Do: Keeping Our Personhood in the Age of AI” on Monday, March 10, at 7 p.m. at 鶹ý in Winants Auditorium in Graves Hall.
鶹ý and Traverse City Central HS Vocal Ensembles to Perform on March 4
The 鶹ý SPERA and Traverse City Central High School Vocal Majority vocal ensembles will present a joint concert on Tuesday, March 4, at 6:45 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.

Althea Jones, a multidisciplinary artist based in Northeast Ohio, will present the address “Superhero Mode: Taking Charge of Your Story and Success” as the 2025 Women’s History Month Lecture at 鶹ý on Thursday, March 6, at 3:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.
Symposium to Consider Visual Art and Ecological Sustainability
A two-day symposium at 鶹ý on Thursday and Friday, March 6 and 7, will explore the different roles that visual artists can play in promoting ecological sustainability.

Senior Noel Vanderbilt Awarded National Prize to Conduct Research
鶹ý senior Noel Vanderbilt of Saugatuck is one of only three undergraduate students nationwide to receive a Hatfield Prize for 2025 from the Center for Public Justice to conduct an independent research project through the end of the spring semester.
