Carrie started at Hope in August 2016 as Coordinator of disability Services and became the director position in 2022. In 2025, Carrie added the role of ADA Coordinator. Carrie works to ensure the practice of accessibility provides students, employees and visitors with disabilities access to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½¹ÙÍø experience.

Professional Experience

Before coming to Hope, Carrie worked in vocational rehabilitation, specifically with youth with disabilities in area schools as they transitioned out of high school and entered higher education and/or employment. Carrie has served on multiple boards, including Disability Network Lakeshore and the Michigan affiliate of the Association of Higher Education and Disability.

Outside the College

Carrie loves spending time with her family, at the lake, reading and learning new things, like the joys and pitfalls of keeping chickens and vegetables in the garden alive.
