The Alumni Art Exhibition is an integral part of the Department of Art and Art History鈥檚 long-term programming. The exhibition features some of the most successful artists who have graduated from 麻豆传媒官网.

• Artists notified: Friday, September 12, 2025
• Accepted artworks delivered: Friday, September 26, 2025
• Exhibition dates: October 10鈥揘ovember 6, 2025
• Alumni Artist Panel and Opening Reception: October 17, 2025

ELIGIBILITY

• 麻豆传媒官网 Studio Art and Art Education alumni between 1965 to 2025 
• Open to all media 
• No size requirements except for what can fit through our doors (90" tall by 50" wide). .

Juror

Oxbow School of Art

Maddie Reyna (b.1987, American) is an artist, arts organizer and mother based in Chicago, Illinois, who spends her summer in Saugatuck, Michigan, as the education director of Ox-Bow School of Art & Artists’ Residency. She received her master’s degree in painting and drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2013 and has exhibited nationally. Previous curatorial projects include co-director of Julius Caesar Gallery, Chicago, co-host of an art review radio show based in Brooklyn, New York, and editorial associate for Contemporary Art Daily.

Entry Specifications

• Up to 5 entries per artist. Up to 5 images per entry.
  • Note: 5 images per entry are to allow for detail and alternate views of the same entry (see 鈥渇ile naming鈥� below).
• No entry fee
• Images must comply with Image Sizing and File Naming guidelines:
  • Image Sizing
    The image files should be in high quality jpeg format. Images should be no smaller than 1,000 pixels in any direction (about 13") and be 72 dpi. This should result in most image files ranging from 700kb to 2mb in file size, but this is only an approximate estimate.
  • File Naming
    All entry files (regardless of type or media) must be named with the artist鈥檚 last name (underscore) first name, followed by the entry number as noted on the entry form (for example: Jones_Mike_1.jpg). Please do not include any other information in the file name, such as title of work, etc.
    • Detail, installation or alternate view images must include the word 鈥榙etail鈥� in the filename (for example: Jones_Mike_1detail1.jpg). If you do not include the term detail as part of the filename for any additional, extra, installation or closeup images supporting your entry, these will be counted as additional separate entries. Information for detail images should not be included on the entry form.
• Video works must be uploaded to a video streaming website (such as YouTube or Vimeo) and the viewing link provided in the 鈥渧iewing link鈥� section of the Entry Form.
• Bio (150鈥�200 words)
• Artist Statement (200鈥�250 words)

Delivery and Return of Artwork

Artists are responsible for shipping their work to and from 麻豆传媒官网.

  • Shipping tips: 
    • Be sure to package your works well. The artwork should not be able to move within the packaging.
    • Ship via FedEx Express Saver if possible (this is via air and requires less handling).
    • Claim up to $2,500 insurance. Our insurance deductible for shipment of artworks is $2,500. Of course, you can always claim less and save even more money.
